Left to right Abdi Bile (Somalia) Co-captain 1984 Olympic Team I coached and 1987 World Champion 1500M, Million Wolde (Ethiopia) 2000 Olympic Champion 5000M, Mike Mamo (US), 29;30 10K and 1 of my “sons”. Abdi is visiting Ethiopia on his way to Somalia and will be organizing an International peace run this summer in East Africa. I wish I could have joined them for dinner. Million and I will be organizing a Westchester Track Club program in Adis Ababa for elite and recreational runners and hope to develop an exchange program between Westchester and Adis.

Saturday Workouts: Fall/Winter Schedule as of November 18, 2023

Our Saturday workouts continue year-round. Coach Mike Barnow will meet everyone at 9:30am in the upper Sleepy Hollow High School parking lot. The group will do a 2 mile easy warm-up run to the Flat Hill area, near the tunnel on Sleepy Hollow Road. If you are running late, and can't make the warm-up, meet us near Coach Mike's bench in Rockies at 10:00 am for the start of the workout. Official club members will see updates as needed on our social media platforms.
