Natalie 15th at NCAA 5000M Championships

Natalie Tanner 16:23.04 15th place

2 weeks after running a big personal best at 5000M (16:12) to qualify for the NCAA Championships, Natalie placed 15th of 24 finalists at Heywood Field. The race was very slow for the 1st 5 laps, resulting in a tactical race with times not reflecting the high quality field. Natalie texted me right after the race to tell me that she had a lot of fun, and I texted her back telling her so did I, watching the race live on ESPN.
